Summary: I never thought that a game with no guns and no combat could be so intense... In this game all you can do when entering in "the nightmare" is to run for your life until you find an exit, what is quite distressing because even if you have a map, every second you spend looking at it is a second for the creatures to get closer. The meta-story with the psychiatrist is also engaging and the ending... Well, you have to see it by yourself.
Summary: Many see this entry as a remake of the first PlayStation game but in fact it is a totally new and different approach to the same story with a twisted and eerie feeling, constantly filled with tension and mystery. This time it is not only about surviving, it is about discovering what lies beneath the human psyche and what drives Harry in finding is daughter.
Excerpt: "...a major fan of the Silent Hill series and a game that is a re-imagining of the very first instalment in the series sounded very interesting to me; especially since they were using a new style of game play that didn't involve combat and I wanted to see how well they did that. I found the storyline engrossing and enjoyed the references to the earlier games while still remaining a standalone game in terms of plot. This is a reworking of the PS1 ...
Pros: Great voice acting, soundtrack, graphics and storyline .
Summary: I like the Silent Hill games series and was therefore looking forward to Shattered Memories on the PSP. It follows the usual Silent Hill model and is driven by its story which I found very engaging and kept me hooked meaning I'd completed it in about 3 days. I found the puzzles to be much simpler in this game and the "keys" for doors always seemed to be very close to the locked door. So this wasn't quite as enjoyable as previous games.
Summary: I did have my doubts over this game as I did play SH5 on the PS3 which I thought was total pants....it was way too combat heavy with cunky controls and nothing new was in it really....i also hated SH4 too for the record... SH: Origins on the PSP I liked though, so I bought this and was pleasantly suprised...thankfully the combat has been removed and its all about the story and puzzle solving...and being scared of course....
Summary: Super Spiel.
