Summary: What was once a great series only fell apart after the 3rd game (IMO). This is probably the most successful game since the 4th one came out. Great story, solid ambience, and a must have for any fan of the series. I hope konami takes it back one day and puts out a good one.
Summary: Story: The game takes place 'several years' before the first game (on the PlayStation), with Travis trying to make up time during his delivery by cutting through a small town know as Silent Hill. While driving, the road becomes foggy and he barely avoids hitting a girl in the road. When he gets out to look for her, he is follows the young girl until he loses her but comes across a burning building.
Summary: I'm easy to scare when it comes to games. Okay, not really. But games such as Silent Hill just have this feel to them as soon as you hold the game in your hands. "I'm going to be scared $h!tless." Silent Hill is a title I wish will be around forever, but it won't be. Get the Silent Hill franchise while it's cheap.
Summary: I thought I would give my 2 cents seeing as how I grew up with the original Resident Evil video games. The music, sound and atmosphere are all 5 stars, and very beautiful graphics for the PSP on par with FF7 Crisis Core. It really does a great job of drawing you into the world. My only gripes are the story and combat. The story is a litte light; you will go chunks of the game without a cutscene or anything.
Summary: Great game. Awesome gameplay, amazing graphics, cool puzzles. Love it. Great addition to the SH series. Play it at night, when you're alone, with the lights off, and wear your favorite headphones... I guarantee you'll be scared shitless in no time. Actually I dare you to.
A great entry on the PSP, and one of the best Silent Hills to date

Summary: The Good: Astounding graphics and audio, neat new fighting system, easy puzzle solving and navigating The Bad: Sluggish combat, bland story, short, sometimes a bit too easy The first thing you'll notice about Origins are it's out of this world graphics. With real time lighting, fog effects, and highly detailed textures, you'll wonder if this really is a PSP game.
Summary: Let me go ahead and say that this is my first time playing a game from the Silent Hill franchise. With that said, this is a good game. Incredibly scary for any first time player. I'll admit that I was awake for a few nights after playing. The game even suggests cutting out your lights and putting on headphones to make your playing experience better (this is VERY creepy). Anyways, the plot tells the story of a trucker named Travis Grady.
A generally traditional Silent Hill entry with some unique elements

Summary: Silent Hill fans should by now have adapted to the fact that there are now various chefs cooking up new titles for the franchise. The first title to show the benefits of this diversity was Silent Hill Origins. Molded in general gameplay style around the traditional 3rd-person survival-horror adventure format, it also introduced some changes to the formula. Firstly, the game manages to carry over the expected visual sophistication of the series to the PSP system.
Summary: I've kept up with SILENT HILL series since it debuted on the original Playstation console back in the mid-late nineties. Despite a few flaws, it has remained a high quality franchise that will always garner attention. Naturally, SILENT HILL: ORIGINS for the PSP is a must play for fans of the series.
