Excerpt: Shrek the Third is a fairly good port of the console versions of the same game. Visually, the PSP title loses very little detail when compared to the PS2 version. All of the characters are large and recognizable and the levels feel just as complex and detailed as the version you would find on the other systems. If anything, Shrek the Third for the PSP is just another example of how powerful the little handheld really is as far as graphical capabilities.
Excerpt: Approximately three weeks after the release of Shrek the Third on the Xbox 360, Wii and PS2; the big green Ogre and his friends arrive on the PSP. Based on the movie, Shrek the Third for the PSP takes us on a brand new journey through a mystical, fairy tale world. Shrek, Donkey, Fiona and Puss in Boots are all back along with some other surprise characters. Shrek the Third for the PSP marks the first time the franchise has been released on the PSP.
Excerpt: It's the Summer of the trilogy, with Spider-Man 3 kicking it off, followed by Pirates 3, and now Shrek 3. And just like the movie industry, the videogame industry follows the same trend with game iterations of each movie. All were surprised to find out the three aforementioned movies were lackluster, but there wasn't much of that surprise going on when it came down to the games (with the exception of Spider-Man 3).
