Summary: Have you ever wondered what it's like to drive a rally car through beautiful and differing sets of scenery? Have you always fancied sliding a Subaru through thick dirty mud or white frosty snow? Everyone has, and everyone does. Well maybe not everyone, but I'm sure a lot of people do. Unfortunately rallying is one of those fantasies that never becomes a reality for 99.9% of those who do; so they'll have to make do with playing this PSP rally game instead.
Strikes a perfect balance between arcade and realism.

Summary: First up, let me say that this is my 7th racing game on PSP, and my 17th PSP game. Reading the scathing Gamespot review, you would be forgiven for thinking that this could be one of the worst games in my collection. I would say that it's one of the finest. The good: -Fantastic graphics, with a smooth, fast framerate. The car models are great, and very realistic, and the scenery around the tracks is detailed and colourful.
Summary: As any psp owner will tell you the catalogue of psp games is full of titles that are poor relations to the console versions that often share the same name. GTA titles, FPS, RPG and so on are often short and little more than a boredom buster on the go. Although the above rule applies to Sega Rally in part, the some what diluted version is still about as good as anything else the system can offer.
Summary: Sega Rally was my third experience of rally games on the PSP (following on from my purchases of Colin McRae Rally 2005 and World Rally Championship) and was a game that I was very impressed with. The game is in essance another rally game but is one which includes great graphics and good sound quality to the handheld market to allow gamers to play when not playing on a standard console.
Pros: Great graphics, good sound quality, great gameplay, races designed for the PSP
Cons: Takes some getting used to the controls but this just means you won't complete it at the first try
Summary: Sega Rally for the PSP is a racing game which has been released before for other consoles, most games that get an after release on the console are usually just a cheap copy of the original game, whilst the game is very similar it is just as good as any other versions, the graphics are very good and the game runs smoothly and plays well.
Summary: Another game purchased off ebay for very little money, £9.99 brand new plus a couple of quid postage. This is a fabulous game for the PSP and graphically it is superb for Sony's little machine. Sega really are the past masters when it comes to this kind of thing and now they have brought us this version which is a fabulous driving game. You can just pick it up and have a race or you can follow a career mode which takes you through a Rally championship.
Pros: As good as Segas arcade machines of yesteryear
Summary: When it comes to racing games, Sega Rally is a bit of an old veteren, I remember a time when it was one of the only big Racing games int he arcades, we used to go down and play it for hours and spend a fortune in it, it was one of the ones with the driving seat with wheels and pedals as well as gears for the full driving experience. So when moving to the PSP handheld you have to wonder wether the fun part of the game is still there.
Summary: Overall it's pretty good fun but the tracks are very short, with only 3 laps of around 2.5 km. Just get the best car and blast it around as fast as you can. Not huge amounts of skill involved but hey, it's only an arcade game. The fun is in trying different cars and tires. You can unlock some great cars by winning different sections. I finished the game quite quickly and did get a little hooked on it.
