Summary: This game is just an update of Ridge Racer 1 It shares the same game engine, user interace and game design as the previous title, and includes almost all of the elements, cars, and tracks of its predecessor though out the Ridge Racer Series since Playstation One Era. List of Updated content: Instead of 24 Tracks (12 unique tracks and the same 12 trcaks in reverse) from Ridge Racer 1, Ridge Racer 2 has 9 x 2 = 18 more tracks than Ridge Racer 1 including same tracks in...
Summary: This is the sequel to the first RR and the second one to appear of Playstation Portable. The first thing you'll notice when you boot up RR2 in your PSP is that it looks totally the same: the menu, the music, the hud, the male voiceover, the tracks and the cars are all the same. But, the game does offer a few new tracks, music, cars and two new game mode: Dual - which is a one-on-one race and Survival - whoever is last place after each lap gets eliminated.
Summary: In 2006, a year after the release of their first PSP game, Namco returned with their Ridge Racer series. Here we have Ridge Racer 2, complete with disc, manual, and a front cover with a car in front of a blue-fading-into-white background...?!...Look, I've written a lot of reviews! It's hard work coming up with snappy intros all the time, OK?! After you've tried the old-skool Rally-X game and watched the RR2 intro you're taken to the main menu.
Summary: I'll keep this short. Ridge Racer 2 on the PSP is a fantastic game. I don't own the first one, but apparently there's not much new for those who've got it. I, however, find this to be an exhilarating, bouncing 3am trip. It's all about the flow, and making your sense go, 'woah'. I love the arcade-styled gameplay; sliding in and out of corners, nitrous-blasting my way past opponents whilst the summer-beach commentator gets all excited.
Summary: After having played the first Ridge Racer on the PSP I bought the second one in the series and so far nothing has really dissappointed me. The game continues in the footsteps of the original, same controls, same feel and, unfortanetely this is the only bad thing I can say about the game.
