  • Summary: While many PSP titles to date have tried to mimic the scope and depth of their console editions, Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters succeeds in bringing the look and feel of its earlier titles to the handheld platform. As you might expect, there are some minor compromises made but the game still offers vast worlds to explore, though not quite as large or expansive as some of the earlier games offered.

Ratchet and Clank Size Matters

  • Excerpt: First Impressions My reaction is One of Insomniac’s reason’s to be proud is the Ratchet and Clank series so hugely popular on the PlayStation 2 and many me regard it as some of the best platformers for the system. So when they finally announced something for the PSP too, many fingers were getting excited.

  • Conclusion: THE VERDICT: Ratchet and Clank: Size Matters is a good game, and a fine addition to any PSP collection. Whilst the core experience is the same as has gone before on the PS2, the fact that this experience is a good one makes it worthwhile distraction. The game doesn't change the world, but if you want it to then you're really expecting too much.

  • Conclusion: in its truest form and though the system lacks the second analog stick, the control is spot on. The single play campaign is fun and fresh from start to finish though the multiplayer is a little too lackluster for my taste. An impressive presentation also helps to make this an all around package that is difficult to ignore.

Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters

Gaming Evolution

  • Conclusion: Though I have had limited experience with the Ratchet & Clank series, I found this game to very fun and addictive no matter the experience of the game. The controllers take a bit to get use to, but it doesn’t stop you having an enjoyable gaming experience on the PSP. This 1.8GB UMD disc is backed with in-depth single and multiplayer modes, tons of unlockables to acquire, immersive visual presentation with a solid core found within the gameplay mechanics.
