Summary: What a brilliant game this is and has the potential for you to play all night till the sun rises - as I almost did!!!! I love RPGs, how you can increase your characters stats, cute little storyline, etc, but I also love puzzlers that are surprisingly strategic. The battles in this game are tile-match based and you have to spend a bit of time ensuring where the skulls are going to drop so you can both attack and avoid being attacked - unless you hit each other with magic!
Summary: This is one of the best games I've played on my PSP. It has the elements essential for a good RPG game and also the addictive combat puzzle game which I just can't put down. There are plenty of variations on the puzzle game theme for different situations, such as learning new spells or forging items, so that you never get bored.
Summary: What can I say this game is the main reason I bought my psp, the graphics are great the sound is good, not to annoying, but the challenges are the best bit, if you die you don't have to start at the begining, which is great, I love this game it is the best one I have played on the psp, buy it you won't be disapointed
Summary: I'll start off by saying that I've never been one for RPGs but Puzzle Quest has got me hooked. You move around the map and develop a character as you would in a standard RPG, but all of the battles are done on a puzzle grid that looks like a game of Bejeweled except that you take turns against the computer trying to match colours to be able to cast spells and match skull symbols to make hits on your opponent, while not giving away easy moves to the PSP controlled...
Summary: One of the best PSP games ever? Surely not! But Puzzle Quest offers so much. Firstly it is your standard fair RPG. With Wizards, Warriors, Knights, Orcs, Trolls, Monsters, etc. But the unique twist it gives is that the battles are performed as a puzzle game. Basically players take it in turns to swap icons on a grid to make 3 or more in a row. These then disappear and a random collection of replacements falls from above. Certain icons give you certain benefits.
