Conclusion: Doesn't have a master league big deal? I love this game cant get enough of it. I got PES6 as well and I must say I keep coming back to this just because of the gameplay. Its how football should be played on a console.
Conclusion: This Is Great Adaptation Of The PS2 Version, Although The Absence Of A Master League May Limit The Amount Of Your Life You Want To Use Up By Playing This Game! Pro Evolution Soccer 5 (PSP): PES Makes A Solid Debut
29 August 2009
Summary: Rating - 3+ Multiplayer - yes This was the first Pro Evolution game on the psp and one of the first games I got with my psp. As the name suggests it is the 5th in the series but it's a bit different from its console counterparts. For one thing the master league mode has been replaced by the league mode. So instead of starting off with a team with very poor stats and working your way up you get to choose which team out of any of the leagues you want to manage in.
Pros: PES Portable! Decent graphics, multi-player
Cons: Long load times, some control issues, no master league
Summary: This is only for the devoted. No doubt the graphics are impressive and the movement realistic but geez man... 0-0 (on a good day) is not my idea of 10 minutes well spent. Also think they should bring out a version where you can take to the linesman with a stick. Offside everytime. If like me you still want to enjoy gaming, best you give this a miss.
Conclusion: This is a brilliant game, with much more gameplay quality than Fifa, which is purely commercial now. The other review here shows how you can be sucked in by Fifa's games, "you can play with the official ball" just sounds silly to me.
Excerpt: "Pro evolution soccer 5 is one of my favorite games, I had this on my ps2 and now on my psp. The graphic are great and the group play has developed and generally the league has got better in slight ways. As it is the first pre evolution in psp it is good all over. The negative thing about it is not to call the team the right names, for example : Manchester united is man red, it is quite confusing. There is more tactique options and the training ...
Summary: I got this game as part of a bundle from my local games store and thus it was the first psp game I played... Although the graphics are notably slower than those on the ps2, the gameplay is still all there... Editing mode was rather a poor effort and does limit a lot of what you can do to the squad, but it more than makes up for this with the multiplayer feature which i will come onto in a second...
