Pro Evolution Soccer 2008

The Pro Evolution Soccer 2008, formerly known as Winning Eleven, is designed upon the competitive spirit embodied by its predecessor with some major improvements. It features new animations, new clubs and leagues, and online play plus the new proprietary AI system ‘TeamVision’ that offers the most intelligent competition available.

Features

The Pro Evolution Soccer (PES) 2008 is developed by Konami Digital Entertainment using the J2ME platform. The game features all classical modes you would expect from a soccer game, instant play, match mode, league mode, cup mode, training mode, but the classical master league was substituted with a 2 season super challenge mode. It also comes with a new improved Master League and Cup modes. The PES 2008’s pursuit for realism is evident with improved long-range and close-range ball control, passing, and player-specific moves. The game let's a player choose between two control system. The first one, having each movement bound to a different action keys while the second, a single button mode where a press on 5 will trigger the appropriate action depending on the context. Management options include changing players according to their strength and statistics, formation, and match settings include weather, difficulty and kit colours. The game ranges from really easy using the weakest AI settings to quite challenging. Unlockable items like new teams, formation or stadium appear after a given number of matches, winning cups or completing challenges with the hardest AI. The PES also comes with new teams like club favourites Tottenham Hotspurs, Newcastle United, Anderlecht, and Basel, plus national sides from England, Brazil, Portugal, Greece, and Scotland. It also provides player to the environment of playing one-on-one online matches in epic stadiums such as ‘Estadio Santiago Bernabeu’, home of Real Madrid plus it comes with a product dimension weights of 4.5 pounds (2kg).
