Summary: I was never really into the Prince of Persia games because I don't really like games with blood and gore. However, this game caught my interest because I saw that it was about time travel. As a huge fan of stories that involve travelling through time, I was immediately intrigued. As an added bonus, this game features much less violence than the original version, so I decided to try it. I have to say, this game cleans up nicely.
Summary: Prince of Persia Rival Swords is in no way, a bad game. This game just seems to have some trouble finding out what kind of game it want to be. It seems like sometimes it tries to be a hack 'n slash game, while other times it attempts to be an adventure game, and then it tries to be a stealth action game. Sometimes, blending genres can really work, such as in Valkyria Chronicles 2, but that is not the case in Rival Swords.
Summary: I played the chariot races on included in this game before trying the campaign, and I have good things too say about those. The three different races all vary greatly, which makes it more fun to play each one. I loved it when I got to knife the guards that tried to kill me by jumping onto the chariot (while it was moving!). If I could rate just the chariot races separate from the game, I would give it a 9.25. Now to the campaign.
Summary: One of my favorite PSP games, and one of my favorite Prince of Persia games. It has everything a PSP game needs! Its For PSP. Its a good game for the PSP. It has good graphics, Controls are great, good challenge, lots of fun. I really love it. It is hard to come across PSP games now days.
Summary: The game itself was very pleasurable, the only real problems with the game were the glitches. Such as sound going out of sync, or just not being there at all. The graphics were pretty decent for a port of the Xbox/Ps2/Gcube versions. But at times the framerate slows down a bit, and the areas can get kinda buggy and blurry.
Summary: This is an excellent game! I loved the XBox version, and the PSP version is surprisingly comparible. There are some rough spots in the PSP port -- sound sometimes drops or gets out of sync, textures are a bit blocky, and in a few areas the visuals completely break down. However, the good far outweights the bad, and it's an impressive title for a mobile platform. Great game!
Summary: this game starts a bit boring u don't get a weapon for a good 15 minutes and then its dissapointing to only get a dagger. the puzzles are fun, enemies get harder, bosses are ugly, for all the nerds there are teleportation portals, and a good story line. takes about ........ uh......... maybe 12 hours to clock. that works for me. on hard it took me three days:-). blood looks pretty real for a psp game made in 07, but the graphics are just Ok.
Summary: Action adventure elements remain top-notch Smooth, intuitive transitions between platforming, fighting, and narrating Impressive graphics considering portable format and scope of environments Bonus content legitimately contributes to the package
