A really big downfall of the collection, is that to play against a friend, you both would need a copy of the game. There’s a game sharing option for Power Stone 2, but it‘s basically a demo, that you don't get to do much with. It’s a shame as multiplayer is definitely the greatest strength of the series, although when all is said and done it’s still a superb collection. Read more
As a port of a popular fighting series, Power Stone Collection is excellent, but as an alternative to the Dreamcast classics you might have tucked away in a box under you bed, it fails. Multiplayer is at the heart of the Power Stone experience, and on the PSP without online play, two or four-player games are never as likely to occur. In a perfect world, this collection gets ported to the PS2 with the load times fixed. In that world, this game pulls a high 8 to a near 9. In this world though, the loading times and other challenges with the game's presentation make this game the type of thing you should fish for in the bargain bin only. This game is absolutely great, a true transfer from the Dreamcast to PSP bringing back great memories and gameplay, if your a fan of this game I say BUY IT! Power Stone was one of my favorite games on the Dreamcast, with up to a 4 player, party battle mayhem. This is a great fighting game for the PSP, maybe not a hard-core as Street Fighter Alpha, but allot more humor. "Kicking the stones" at other players sounds and is allot of fun!
