Summary: I have had the game on PSP for 3 years now, and first things first, my cover says 3+ and on here it says 12+ but I can't see how it is a 12, I personally think it should be a 7+ due to military mode. I was a bit disappointed at the aircraft choice. I hoped for F35s and F22s but the most modern ones are F16,F14,F15. The graphics aren't great and the game feels like you're in slow motion a lot of the time. However it's a good game for Younger people aged 7-11 ish.
Summary: Lets get big the negative out the way to start with. The load times are very bad. From the PSP menu to playing a game takes an amazingly long one minute 55 seconds. Restarting the current map takes 15 seconds. It is simply not possible to have a "quick blast". Alas this is an issue with the PSP more than just this game. The graphics are lovely.

Summary: I love playing these simulation games but this was disappointing. The graphics are superb as well it being very realistic. However the controls were fiddly because were it was too hard to fly the planes and the missions take years to complete! This is my opinion and buy it if you enjoy flying planes.
Conclusion: Pilot Academy is one of the best plane games on psp. I think that the first time you play the game you can't get enough of it. But after you have completed all of the trainning missions and take your skills to the sky it can get boring especially when you play missions when they feel impossible and you end up playing them for hours untill you just give up. The planes on the game are great ranging from world war 1 planes to 747 being flown today.
Conclusion: The pilot academy is probably not the best game in the world but it takes alot of skill to play. The best time to play the game is with somebody else with linking up to have dogfights. There are some other good things like unlocking diffrent aircraft but need to complete tasks and lessons which can be quite frustrating after a while. Over all the game is worth buying but probably not the best game out there.
Summary: Despite the advertising claiming you can play a civilian or military "career", this game is really just a series of short missions, and not very many at that (for example each of the 4 military eras only has about 2 missions each). The "lessons" are very short and you aren't really given much instruction at all, just told to do things and expected to work things out for yourself.
