Summary: this game is as I would like to describe as the best flight simulation game that I have ever played. it doesn't require expensive hardware however it does lack the actual cockpit simulation of a plane. apart from that the game displays perfect physics and the control of the plane is very sensitive. there are loads of missions to play and a lot many planes to fly, commercial and military. it includes old and new planes as well. great game. IF ONLY there was a ps3 version.
Summary: I have had the game on PSP for 3 years now, and first things first, my cover says 3+ and on here it says 12+ but I can't see how it is a 12, I personally think it should be a 7+ due to military mode. I was a bit disappointed at the aircraft choice. I hoped for F35s and F22s but the most modern ones are F16,F14,F15. The graphics aren't great and the game feels like you're in slow motion a lot of the time. However it's a good game for Younger people aged 7-11 ish.

Summary: I guess for me it was a nostalgic thing as the first major games I played was a flight simulator and this was pretty much on the button. If you enjoy such things then this is a good one to play with as it does the basic stuff like take-off, landing and destination flying as well as some more interesting simulations for those who want to fry things on the screen, all in all a good game for someone wanting to start playing flight sim games.
Excerpt: "This is a great game if you are into simulation and that sort of genre when it comes to gaming but there are some minor details. If you are into to commercial flying then this is not the game for you. Although many reviews say it has a big range of aircraft, it does. Most of the planes though are military and there are actually only two commercial planes! If you're not that bothered and do not like detailed simulation and are not THAT bothered about ...
Summary: Purchased this for my 8 year old daughter, who loves all things plane related and wants to be an RAF pilot one day. She absolutely loves it, and has hours of enjoyment. The graphics are very good and there's lots of different missions and plenty of game play. You can choose from a variety of aircraft from war-time planes to the latest jets.
Summary: Great game lots of good aircraft (big and small). But the map is a bit to limited that being the only real downside to the game but if you are a fan of planes and flying I would recommend this game because it is just great fun!
Pilot Academy (PSP): So close to great - stopped short

Summary: While the principle of this game is sound, good intuitive controlls and some interesting set peiece missions it is at best an arcade style time waster - usefull for a few hours but if you are stuck with it for a weekend or even a long haul flight you will soon tire of its limited scope and vision. The gameplay has a lot of potential and as a base vehicle it is disapointing that it has fallen so far short of its potential.
Pros: Intuitive great initial missions
Cons: After a few hours you will tire of the unnecissary limits of this game
Summary: I think it's one of the best games for the PSP. It's not too easy so you won't get bored but not too hard so you won't be frustrated to easily. On the very first day I played it for 8 hours untill 4 in the morning as I did want this plane to land in a smooth way so that I pass this level. It's highly addictive and a lot of fun.
Excerpt: "pilot academy , good game. you have a huge range of planes on the game, from a fighter jet - to a seven four seven- to an air tractor, all with amazing capabilitys and brilliant graphics on the game . scenarios on the game are really realistic and their are plenty of civilian missions, millitary style missions and lots of challenges one even asks you to fly under bridges upside down! which takes ages to master. you can take lessons on the planes but ...
