  • Summary: Love the game from playstation 2, now smashing away on the psp. If your into any of the NIS strategy games, you'll more than likely love this game.

  • Summary: Phantom Brave is a Strategy RPG, meaning that battles take place on a 3D map with a team of characters under the player’s control, and a host of enemies to fight on each map. Characters can move a set distance in any direction. Attack ranges can, therefore, be a little sensitive, but with careful placement can allow players to maximize the enemies who fall into Area of Effect Attacks.

Played so often, it killed my PS2.

  • Summary: This game will have you investing time without even thinking much about it. (Personally, I doomed my PS2 keeping it on all night to level up, something I think "quicksave" could fix) Anyway, The cute story was not for my demographic, a turnoff for me at times. The music itself oozes so much cuteness my brother muted it without hesitation. That's really the games only fault I can think of. And it's not all pretty daisies and girl stuff, there's some likable content in it.

If we can't have a new one at least we get a rad version of this one.

  • Summary: Well done NIS! I spent long hours of my life ripping through this game when it came out on the PS2, fell back in love with it on the Wii and now I can take it with me everywhere I go. I'm a big fan of getting my favorites in portable formats (Castlevania SOTN is a great example) and if I really love the game then I won't even freak about new content. That being said when I do get my hands on a classic that's been enhanced it's the next best thing to a sequel.

The definitive version of a great NIS title

  • Summary: If you are a fan of the Disgaea series, then you will enjoy Phantom Brave: Heroes of the Hermuda Triangle. There are some mechanics that will take some getting used to, but overall it is quite similar to other NIS America titles, without feeling tired.

  • Summary: Due both to the scarcity of the PS2 original and the non-release of the Wii port in PAL regions, I've never had the chance to play Phantom Brave previously, so it's been a blast to finally get a chance to see how it holds up to Nippon Ichi's other SRPG's released in the PS2's ear;ly days, namely Disgaea & La Pucelle Tactics. Phantom Brave is a far more complex & layered title that tells an at timesmore downbeat tale than the goofy weirdness of the Disgaea universe.
