Summary: I purchased this game years ago from Amazon and never got around to reviewing it. Now I've got well over 300 hours in the game since buying it, and I still play the game despite there being a sequel released.
Summary: Lately I've been on this crazy Phantasy Star kick! I missed out on these little gems growing up, and I never really wondered about them until recently. It's like this: I got the Sega collection for my birthday and started playing the originals and I was really impressed, especially with four. So hey what they heck I think. I'll give these new ones a try too. I think they did a great job on this game, in that they have preserved a lot of the elements from the originals.
Summary: this is a great game if youre an RPG-hack-and-slash fan. the controls are easy enough to learn after about 20 mins playing. the storyline is great and the cutscenes are amazing(compared to the rest of the game) the cutscenes are a more buffered cinematic whereas the interface graphics are something akin to PSone, but that is not to say its a bad game. the storyline and cutscenes and controls are enough to rate this game 5 stars.
Summary: This is one of the most enjoyable titles I have played for my PSP. It's easy to pick up and very intuitive with the controls. It makes it quite painless to switch between weaponry and items. And it has great character customization options, with racks full of outfits and numerous hairstyles. And Sega went as far as adding a few fan treats that hearken back to the older days of gaming. My favorite part of this is the ability to link with a friend.
