Features

Featuring over 150 new weapons and items exclusive to the PSP system versions, Phantasy Star Portable takes place just after the events of Phantasy Star Universe. Players will partner up with Vivienne, a brand new character to the series, to investigate an outbreak of berserk animals that may possess the remnants of a once-powerful malevolent force. Selecting from three class types and four different races at the start of the game, players take on single-player Story Mode and Phantasy Star Universe co-op gameplay. Pplayers can experience adventures via the PSP system wireless connection with 3 other players. It features a new mission story, Item and Enemy Book records and Titles that are unlocked by achieving difficult goals, adding replay value to Phantasy Star Portable. The game also features the Complete Phantasy Star Experience On-the-Go as it comprises the original content from Phantasy Star Universe and Phantasy Star Universe: Ambition of the Illuminus; players will experience a new storyline and meet new characters, while the new record book feature keeps track of over 150 new collectable items; Customizable Avatar where players can create their own avatar with the rich Character Creation system, or port in their character from the Phantasy Star™ Portable downloadable demo; Multiplayer Mode where up to four party members can team up via Sony wireless and Multiple Endings that differ from one another depending on the player’s actions. A demo of the game was released and is available for direct download on several websites in Japanese, and allows players to complete two missions in the story mode. The retail version includes options to import character created in the demo version of the game as well as two downloadable missions. The North American Demo available for download at the Playstation store, allows players to level their character up to level 20 and a choice of 3 Classes: Hunter, Ranger, Force. 4 Playable races in the demo include Beast, Cast, Human, and Newman. The game also has eight slots for saving characters, opposed to only four in the Playstation 2, PC and Xbox 360 versions.
