Summary: Game developers have figured out a long time ago that whenever they have a successful game, they can easily make money by selling sequels that are just slightly enhanced copies of the original. A little more time and money can be spent for the 3rd or 4th installment, so they will have better graphics, and are almost guaranteed to take longer to finish.
Summary: Reading through the 1-star reviews made me upset. They obviously weren't actual patapon fans. While yes, 2 was the best of the three, this one was incredible to say the least. The story is fun, the characters are interesting and numerous. The rythmns are very well done and the amount of customization in your characters is endless. Every class has at least 6 other classes it can turn to, each very very different.
Summary: I'm a huge fan of Patapon, and find the newest installment just as addicting and thrilling as the former 2 games. The graphics are even more stunning to look at. However, I find this version to be harder to play. I've clocked about 70 hours into Patapon 2, and about 20 into Patapon 3. Having only 4 heros to work with, I find that I often loose Hatapon (the banner carrier) before my other heros and thus fail the mission.
Summary: First off, I have well over 100 hours in each of the previous Patapon games and loved them. Patapon is a rhythm based side scrolling game. It is really difficult to draw similarities because quiet simply there is no other game like it. This game tries to bring a few new things to the table. I'll start with... The Good 1 Just like the previous titles, the game play is very addictive. 2 Art style is phenomenal 3 Game play is unique and refreshing.
Summary: Honestly, i was not able to finish Patapon 2 for some reasons. I managed to finish only around 70% so I thought Patapon 3 would be the same like the second version. I'm glad I was wrong! I got my copy last week and I can't stop myself playing this fun, strategic, Rhythmic game. If you're familiar with previous Patapon games, it might come as some surprise to you that in Patapon 3 you don't get to command an army.
Summary: This game is way better then the last two games. Graphics are better, game play is easier, you dont have to make a million troops you just level up the 4-5 that you have which is pretty awesome as you level up, you get tons of stuff so you have lots of extras to sell so you can upgrade weapons and armor. some of the fights seem dead on based on your skill level, they are not going to let you fight a lvl 5 boss if you are only lvl 1 like in the first two games.
Summary: I must say it has been a long wait for this game but it is certainly worth it! The new level up system makes creating your Patapon army interesting and challenging! Unlike previous Patapon games where you had tons of Patapons running around this one limits you to just four. However, thanks to the level up system and multiplayer options, this shouldn't be a problem.
