Summary: I wanted to like PaRappa the Rapper. I really did. Unfortunately, this is one of the few rhythm games I just had to put down. Being that rhythm games were more-or-less new back when this was released, this title obviously does seem rather dated in comparison to the likes of things such as Rock Band or Just Dance. I gotta say, though, that the fact that this game is dated is actually a big problem with the game. You see, the game's cutscenes are incredibly corny.
Summary: Ten years ago, the rhythm genre was something new. And the game which introduced it to us was Parappa the Rapper back in 1997. Rhythm games at the time were pretty new. Nowadays you've got stuff like Guitar Hero, Dance Dance Revolution and Elite Beat Agents, to name a few. But in 1997? If you wanted a rhythm game you picked up Parappa the Rapper. In truth, it's hard to say whether or not the original Playstation classic has aged well or not. Is it still a good game?
Conclusion: When I bought PaRappa The Rapper I was really looking foward to playing it as I love playing the game on playstation. However I was disappointed to find that it was too short and could be completed under an hour but at a reasonable price at under £10 I still think the game is good but would be better if it kept it going for a bit longer
