Excerpt: Of all the sports represented in the PSP’s launch line-up, the most noticeable absence was of football. That hole has now been plugged with NFL Street 2 Unleashed , and though it’s not the proper sim (okay, so its not Madden ) that some were hoping for, it’s still football. Unleashed will always stand out in my mind for one reason – it was the first game I saw running on the PSP when the system was officially unveiled at last year’s E3.
Excerpt: Sometimes it seems like there's no "offseason" in the NFL ... and in keeping with that, there's now no offseason for NFL gaming. Though the Sony's PSP released in the heart of spring, there was still an NFL launch title: EA Big's
Summary: NFL Street 2 Unleashed may be one of the least altered, if not the least altered, of all the console games ported to the PSP. And that ultimately works both for and against it.
Pros: All the game modes found in the console versions of Street 2 can be found here., Graphics look only slightly dumbed-down from the PS2 version., Solid arcade football gameplay., Some of the new minigames are quite good.
Cons: This is so much like Street 2 on consoles that anyone who played it on consoles really doesn't need to bother with this version., Too many long loading times., A dance contest? Are you kidding?
Conclusion: EA has at least added some incentive for purchase with three modes not featured in the PS2 version, and the 4-way multiplayer will enthrall anyone who can stomach the game itself, but beyond this NflStreet 2: Unleashed is unlikely to satisfy either sports fans or ardent gamers.
Conclusion: NFL Street 2 Unleashed is een geslaagde conversie geworden die elke (geduldige!) gamer zeker eens moet uitproberen. De lange laadtijden verzieken soms de pret, maar het grote aantal aan mogelijkheden maken dit helemaal goed. Ook de multiplayeropties verlengen de houdbaarheid. Bovendien zijn ze ook nog eens uitermate verslavend!
