Hot Shots Golf Open Tee 2

Family Friendly Gaming
2 February 2013
  • Excerpt: It seems like just a few years ago I played my first Hot Shots sports video game. This franchise has blossomed into a wonderful, fun, and stable video game series. Hot Shots Golf Open Tee 2 on the Playstation Portable (PSP) continues the franchise. Sony has kept most of the formula the same, and even made an admirable improvement. There has been a decrease in the enticement to lust issue in this PSP video game (Editor: from previous Hot Shots franchise games).

Hot Shots Golf: Open Tee 2

Operation Sports
24 June 2008
  • Summary: Hot Shots Open Tee 2 feels very similar to just about any other Hot Shots game, but that's not a bad thing at all, assuming you're already a fan. The gameplay is very fun yet challenging, some of the quirky characters and courses are still enjoyable, and the varying game modes always offer you something different. Online play is a bit stripped down but it plays as good as it would offline.
  • Pros: Fun and surprisingly realistic gameplay., Deep character customization., Nice looking courses.
  • Cons: Annoying caddy and player voices., Some courses are downright sillly., Slight lack of game modes.

Hot Shots Golf: Open Tee 2

GameTrailers
18 June 2008
  • Excerpt: One standout title from the lean days of the PSP launch was Hot Shots Open Tee, the portable version of the long-running fantasy golf series from Sony. The title took a casual approach to the sport without skimping on deep, rewarding gameplay. With Open Tee 2, portable players get a sequel to one of the best, early PSP games ever made. Firing up Open Tee 2 feels an awful lot like starting up the original game a few years back.

Hot Shots Golf: Open Tee 2 Review

GamerNode
3 June 2008
  • Excerpt: Years ago, early PSP owners were pleasantly surprised by a cutesy golf title called Hot Shots Golf: Open Tee. The outer shell hid much deeper mechanics, and one of the best golf experiences yet in videogames. It was no easy task for Clap Hanz to surpass the level of Open Tee with Out of Bounds on the PS3, but they did so. Now they attempt to top that original PSP title with Open Tee 2. If you enjoyed Open Tee, you’ll love Open Tee 2.

Hot Shots Golf: Open Tee 2

Project COE
3 June 2008
  • Conclusion: Finally, the presentation has remained largely unchanged from the last game, which is underwhelming. We were hoping for some improvement. Instead, the girl behind the desk at the menu screen is exactly as it was before, just a new girl. The interface looks the same, the characters, while mostly new; look exactly as they did in the original game.

Hot Shots Golf: Open Tee 2

The Gamers Temple
23 January 2008
  • Excerpt: The Tiger Woods games make for some great videogame golf play, but the series has always been focused more towards serious gamers and golf enthusiasts rather than casual players.  Luckily for that overlooked latter group there's Hot Shots Golf: Open Tee 2 which is decidedly geared towards lighthearted fun.

Hot Shots Golf: Open Tee 2

Game Boyz
22 January 2008
  • Excerpt: Known as Minna no Golf (translation: Everybody’s Golf) in Japan, Hot Shots Golf was brought to N. America in 1998 and released on the original Playstation. The first version was developed by Camelot Software, however subsequent versions have been developed by Clap Hanz. I remember my first experience with the series as being quite enjoyable and since then I have ended up playing various sequels on the original Playstation, PS2, PSP and most recently the PS3.
