Great, but misses perfection.
30 April 2012
Summary: Since everyone else already gushed about all the best parts of the game, I'll start with what why it wasn't perfect: -Mega Man X has the worst character model. Everything and everyone else looks pretty spectacular, but X's body is noticeably less attractive and his shoulder pad has a glitch when shooting prone on the ground.
Summary: Fun overall, but do know this is a collection of older games an in a somewhat arcade-ish format. Therefore, it will be hard, but not impossible hard. If you're into that kinda stuff(like me) this will be fun. If you're not, then this might not be the game for you.
Summary: This is a great handheld port of Megaman X, but it is not better than the original. The music is one of the main factors for me. The original X had this rocking guitar and crazy solos, but this has kind of a techno theme to it. This seems to be harder than X. I have beaten X, but not this one. Most of the heart containers are generally in the same spaces, but the upgrades for X aren't. Also the way you get some of these upgrades are different too.
Summary: Obviously a remake of the 1993 SNES Megaman X game. Stays loyal to the original game, but is different enough not to be boring (by far). Remixed music, MUCH better graphics work and the enemy characters now have voice acting. Worth the money, I think.
Summary: I ordered this game online, for my husband who is gone on deployment. It came in a day earlier than expected, and am happy to say that he is going to enjoy this game and are willing to order more. Thank you, M.
Summary: this game i have mixed feelings about. its a port of the original mega man x. when i got this game, i expected it to be fun and the controls to be spot on and intuitive. and they are. one thing i didn't expect (and i should have since i saw the words "mega man" on the cover) was the difficulty. this game is relentless w/ the levels and all the enemies and traps along the way. the first boss i beat took me a week to figure out how to get through the level and to beat him.
Summary: I bought this game and others to help kill time at work and so far it is worth the cost. My only trouble is not with the game but acctually another ebay item I purchased which is the memory card. Playing these games and gaining new items or levels is a pain in the a__ without a memory card. So like I said the game was worth the cost.
Summary: If you like the old snes megaman X, then is a very good way to play this old school game, in a new redesigned graphics and sound including the animations it was supposed to have to begin with but could not make it happen back in the days of the snes.
Summary: Many people have been giving this game bad reviews saying don't buy it or there's no significant difference then the original. "Uhhhh no difference" there's tons for one instead of a 2-D side scrolling game its a 3-D side scrolling game, the characters talk, you get better understanding of each Maverick and the story, you can play as either X or Vile, The characters have had a redesign, the game is side scrolling but the graphics are in 480p, some of the armor up-grades...
Summary: Although I will admit, it's not a bad game, it's not quite as good as the SNES original. While the SNES original was a fast paced action-adventure classic, this feels more like a Saturday-morning cartoon. Although, with the addition of the Vile mode and Day of Sigma anime, it's well worth the money. In short, those new to the Megaman X series should pick this up ASAP. You won't be disappointed. However, the Megaman X veterans who still remember the original, will be.
