Very enjoyable game overall..

C. Drougas, Amazon
18 June 2012
  • Summary: Lunar has always been on my list of classic RPGs to check out. I finally got the chance with this PSP version. The bottom line is that this game is definitely worth playing in its current incarnation despite its flaws. If you enjoy an excellent story in a game, which is certainly a rare thing in itself, you will enjoy this game.

Not what it was

Mercenair001, Amazon
5 November 2011
  • Summary: The biggest problem I had with this game is I bought it for the memories I had when I played it. It was on the sega CD and the translation had been done by Working design. I played enough that game as the time to see the difference with this version. The psp edition is a new translation, so I was a little disapointed with the final result. It's not bad, it's just not the Working Design version.

Probably not as good as the original, but...

Thomas F. Hooker "bulmabriefs144", Amazon
26 July 2011
  • Summary: ...Considering the original is heading out of the reasonable price range for PS1 games, it's okay. The game is extremely good, despite the minor edits done to it. In fact, as a guideline of just how good it is, I had KH: Birth by Sleep (I'm a HUGE Kingdom Hearts fan). I played this game more than it.

a decent rpg

JK "K", Amazon
3 August 2010
  • Summary: Graphics, design and everything of this game is not bad, though nothing is really exceptional. One would have fun playing the game the first time, given that the difficulty is about just right. I finished the game in about 30 hrs of playing. If you have played rpg games before then you probably can guess what the storyline is about. May not worth replaying though.

The differences between the PSX version and the PSP Version

Jeffrey C. Matthews "link9us", Amazon
17 July 2010
  • Summary: First of all, this is my very first review on this site. I am a huge RPG gamer and i own a vast collection of rpgs so i have the experience in role playing games but im not that great of a writer so please don't criticize my review for being horrible. This is my personal opinion on this game and it shouldn't effect what others think bout the game. I plan on writing more reviews in the future. I found that this needed to be said right away.

Lunar

Matt "book addict", Amazon
17 June 2010
  • Summary: I loved Lunar: Silver Star Story Complete for the playstation one. This game is mostly the same, except the dubbing is horrible. The battle animations seem to be nicer, though. If you're looking for a good old-fashioned sprite RPG, this is good stuff. I would recommend more the one on the PS1, though.

5 Star Game, 4 Star Remake.

M.D.C. "Tempting Reviews", Amazon
23 April 2010
  • Summary: For summary and pros/cons, skip to the bottom. Put the pitchfork down. This is not a bash against LUNAR "the game". This is a solid review of this version of LUNAR. But before I get into any of that, let me lay everything out in case you've never played (or heard of) LUNAR before. LUNAR is a game designed by Game Arts. As you can easily see, it has origins in Japan, and is considered as close to JRPG as you can get.
