This game is considered the follow-up to Q Entertainment's innovative puzzle/music game. It is the most modernized way in playing games at the present. The game could be played by several players.

With this game, Lumines II, the players control squares that are made of four smaller block pieces, which are dropped into the playing field one at a time to form same-color squares. The vertical “timeline” sweeps across the playing field from left to right and wipes the same-color squares from the playing field. To arrive at the final stage of the game, it should be noticed that unmatched blocks pile up, and the game ends when the pile gets to the top of the playing screen. While advancing through many action-packed levels, each has its own musical theme and design customized according to the preference of the creator of this game. The harder the level becomes, the more complicated the design becomes.
