2nd Time Around Still Not for Me
31 January 2011
Summary: I decided to give this game a second try after playing it on the DS a few years back. It's amazing how much time it takes to learn the combat and item management systems. This would be fine if it were on a console, but on a portable format I just do not have the time sit through endless tutorials. I need to be able to play and go. Don't get me wrong the story seems great; the battle system has tons of depth; it just doesn't work on a portable.
Summary: Think of this as a final fantasy tactics, mixed with Geometry Wars. Yes, that is correct. You dont actually control the knights per say, but do so through a wisp, while avoiding cool neon type attacks from creatures. Drag your knights weapon to them, without being hit and charge it for a cool attack.
Summary: While the game seemed promising. The actual control scheme and utilization of on-screen interface is both sluggish and confusing. The tutorials provided are vague and otherwise cover only the very basics of battle controls and item prioritization. I purchased this game believing it would be a re-vamped tactics ogre or Final Fantasy Tactics Game (Or some other which belongs in the genre.
