The story begins during a long war where dark gods attempted to use their demon armies to enter the human world but were stopped by five heroes. Here the story jumps forward to the 15th century AD as France and England battle during the 100 Years’ War. The player acts as Jeanne, a seventeen year old girl. When Jeanne is attacked by a demon at a festival, voices encourage her to defeat the monster and take up the legacy. She takes up the cause to lead France towards victory against attacking demons and the English army, with friends Lian and Roger.
See lessOther bonuses this season are a new in-game save system (so you don't have to sleep your PSP when you need a seventh-inning stretch), and the new progressive batting that tracks your players' hot and cold streaks. On the downside, the outfield flags still fly like it's hurricane season, there's no franchise mode, and you won't be able to link up to your PS3 season (which is a real shame). Still, nothing stops The Show from being a must-play that'll dominate your PSP all... Read more

It seems that all I’ve been playing are SRPGs as of late. Jeanne D’Arc is the most recent that I’ve tackled. Like Final Fantasy Tactics before it, Jeanne benefits from a strong story that drives the gameplay ever upward and onward. It’s a good thing, too, because unlike Disgaea, there isn’t much post-game fun to mention. Read more
This year, the difference between Sony's handheld game and that from 2K Sports is wider than ever. With MLB '08: The Show boasting a new and deeper pitcher-versus-batter experience and the ability to save games at any point, it's clearly the strongest version of the game to date. 2K's handheld game was hamstrung by development that concentrated more on the large console versions of things and seems a whole lot like 2007's -- and 2006's -- game. Hopefully next year... Read more

Jeanne d'Arc was, and is one of the best RPG's I've ever played. At first, I'd like you to take a look at the Gameplay. Jeanne D'Arc as the same play than Fire Emblem except for the battles, that are more « rich » than the F.E. series. You'll control characters, and you make them move all over the battlefield. You have a lot of liberty, even if you have to follow the route and the objectives that they give. I won't explain everything, but just to say, it's a very... Read more
This was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. I played this game only after having played Professor Layton on the DS. I noticed an incredible stylistic similarity to the anime cut scenes from that game as well as at least two of the same voice actors. This is fine because I liked both games quite a bit. The turn based strategy is straightforward and the general progression in the game is challenging without forcing you to grind to level up. Several incentives exist to... Read more
