Harry Potter, At A Half-Good Price
14 January 2011
Excerpt: "...Half-Blood Prince_, EA’s sixth game-of-the-film-of-the-book. Harry Potter is starting his sixth year in Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry, and the rumour-mill is quickly up and running with talk of the return of uber-evil ugly dude Lord Voldemort (real name: Tom). Harry’s pals Ron and Hermione meanwhile are too busy romancing “other people” for the purpose of making each other unhappy, to notice. Harry’s nemesis Draco Malfoy is up to no good ...
Pros: Story is conveyed in a smart, concise manner; Hogwarts is nice to explore; I paid £2 . 99 for it
Cons: Some very bad mini games; poor music; lacks ambition; mediocre visuals
Conclusion: This game brings you into the sixth year of Harry Potter life and not only is the game surprising, but you get play some of the famous games at Hogwarts. Like exploding snaps and gobstone and wizard skilittles witch are you good games and also quidditch witch is in 2d, but what do you expect for the psp.
Conclusion: After purchasing 'Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix', I was blown away by its slick graphics and excellent cutscenes, so I was certain that the latest offering, 'Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince' would be just as good as its predecessor, if not better...How wrong could I be?
Conclusion: I managed to finish the game in 2 days ,its alot of money not very challenging, you have to collect loads of bits for potions but in the end you dont need them, you have to duel people there ia a big list but you dont have to do this to complete the game either really disappointed in the game.
Conclusion: Unfortunately, I was really looking forward to this coming out on psp as quidditch could be played, however this game is a flop. The graphics are pretty decent but could be a lot better, the task is always to find things and quidditch is a poor 2D image as inthe old Football Manager games.
