Summary: I wasn't too enthusiastic when I started playing this game. It's kinda repetitious and annoying having to repeat things over and over to finally advance in the game. So I gave it tom my oldest daughter to play and she loves it! So, I hate it, my daughter loves it.
Summary: This is a racing game with a twist. You solve puzzles all the while trying to win a race. The graphics and gameplay are top notch. The replay value is high. Anyone who loves racing games should consider this diamond.
Summary: GripShift is really an amazing game. Part racing, part puzzler, all fun. While there is some straight up racing in it, that is not the point of the game, and there is thankfully little of it. The meat of the game is in the Challenge mode, where you try to navigate your way as quickly as possible through crazy levels, while collecting all the stars and hidden icons (each of the three goals can be completed on seperate runs).
Summary: I was amazed with all of the fun I was having when I started playing Gripshift. Most handheld systems don't have beautiful graphics, aside from this and the Nintendo Ds or lite. I was getting pretty good at it, yet I kept on losing. I decided to go to the next level. That's another great thing about this game: you don't have to be stuck on one level forever. This game gives you some creative control. Choosing your car, driver etc. and I have always enjoyed that.
Summary: I bought this game based on many of the positive reviews on Amazon. I was disappointed with it after a while, however, and would like to share my experience with other buyers. First, I love my PSP. I also have a Nintendo DS, and the PSP is better in almost every way. I love car racing/combat games, so I was eager to try GripShift. After playing for several hours, I got pretty bored.
Summary: Presentation - 4.5 Colourful, funky, slick - the production values are high, and the game is attractive. Graphics - 4.0 This is a pretty game. I'm not entirely sure what the PSP is capable of, but I'm pretty happy with what I'm seeing. Frame-rates are solid. Sound - 4.0 Compulsive beats, and good effects - neither annoy me either, which in a game where you hear both often is a major bonus. I've a low tolerance for that. I'd say the whole sound package is solid.
Summary: Most of the reviews I have read about this game have been dead wrong. THey grade the game as a poor racer. Though I would take issue with that, this game is hardly a racer. It is much closer to a brilliant monkeyball game with a twist. Monkey ball is way fun, but monkeyball as a car on insane tracks is incredible. THis game is a complete rip off of the pc game track mania, which is a wonderful game.
