Summary: grezty nhl is a broing only 3 things to do season, unlocking things, and regular game. the fights sucks you get bored just punching.the season is like any season and unlocking things is easy. every thing on here is boring.
Summary: Was missing the jacket that encapsulates the disc, but was able to get it working by breaking one of the cases off a game I rarely used and installing in that case. Seller was willing to give me a full refund though....I decided to just keep it.
Summary: So I bought this game used for $5 and then went and read the reviews. After reading the really poor reviews I was scared to see what this game was going to be like. After playing it most of what people said was true but not to the extremes people make it out to be. Yes the controls leave something to be desired and graphics are PS1 like but it is not the worst hockey game I have everplayed (NHL Stanley Cup for SNES gets that award and Blades of Steel remake.
Summary: Gretzky NHL was a launch title for the PSP that was horrible to say the least. I rented this game yesterday, and just in the first game I got pretty bored. Graphics: 7/10. There is a little framerate problem that is pretty annoying, but it could be much worse. Character animations are FAIR, and the presentation is decent, but the graphics are really Playstaion 1ish. Sound: 6.5/10. Where is the commentary?
Excerpt: My Thoughts =========== I bought Wayne Gretzky NHL 2005 for £20 on a compulsive PSP game, shopping spree. Having played on similar NHL games on the PS2, i had high standards for this portable version, and out of all of the games i have bought for the psp this turns out (unexpectably) to be the most addictive.
Pros: good graphics, season mode, and roster management system, and is very playable .
Cons: takes a while to get used to, can crash ( has happened twice with my version), trading system doesnt work very well .
