Summary: I can't tell if this is an appropriate game for a handheld system or not. It's basically Grand Theft Auto 3 fit onto a smaller screen, and it does a fantastic job with that. But the game isn't a quick "pick-up and play" titles that you'd usually find on this kind of system.
Pros: - Great graphics, especially with the scale of the city. - Solid controls. - Token storyline. - Long game.
Cons: - The controls do take some getting used to. - Frustrating missions can bog down the game.
Summary: If you have played the third GTA installment you will have a lot of nostalgic moments. If you have never played any of the other Grand Theft Auto games this is a great pick, and you should consider it a 5/5.
Pros: Just like the rest of the GTA series this game is full of action, adventure, and comedy. Great story which ties into GTA III. Excellent graphics for a PSP game, perhaps even better that GTA III!
Cons: I gave this a 4/5 only because it would have been nice to see some new environments. Some of the missions may seem redundant, although its not too bad if you pace yourself.
Conclusion: Although it doesn't quite live up to the PS2 GTA games, which is too much to expect from a hand held game, this is still a really impressive and very enjoyable game. The controls suffer slightly due to the PSP having only one analog stick, but this is easy to get used to.
