Summary: This plays almost absolutely nothing like modern GTA titles, in fact it sort of goes back to it's roots, when the series was known as a top down driving game. This is kind of a disappointment, because I never appreciated the series back then. Once the game went 3D free-roam, was when I got hooked.

Summary: Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars is one of my favorite DS games. I have played the heck out of it, and it is still fun every time I pick it up. It really is a typical Grand Theft Auto game in size and scope, it never feels watered down or anything because of the hand held format.
Summary: As others have said, it is great little port and takes GTA back to its roots. I hope some of the ideas developed here carry over to the next console GTA, such as Mission Restart, GPS system, auto-align with the road, etc.
