The game God of War: Chains of Olympus is a prequel video games, where the story begins 10 years before the first video game in the God of War series – the God of War game. God of War: Chains of Olympus is a recent release, since it was introduced to the market on March 8, 2008.
Those familiar with the other God of War video games will be gratified to know this one also uses the same controls as the previous games with some exceptions. The buttons to push to get to dodge can be done by manipulating the analog nub and the two shoulder buttons. The weapons are still reminiscent of the Greek mythology that the series is loosely based on. The God of War: Chains of Olympus PSP version is categorized as a single-player game that was originally meant for use on the 222-Mhz PSP processor but can be used now on the 333 Mhz processor.
When it was first announced that Sony's mythological blockbuster God of War series was going to be arriving on the PSP, there were some nagging doubts. Would the development team be able to squeeze the game onto a handheld system and still capture the epic feel, frenzied gameplay, and visceral action of one of the best hack-n-slash games of all time. With Ready at Dawn at the helm, they have done exactly that, and produced a game that more than lives up to the lofty e... Read more
Whilst not perfect, God of War: Chains of Olympus is very impressive and as we said at the top of this review, it’s a game that will help to sell a fair few PSP systems. Of course it’s a game that will also persuade the few who didn’t purchase a PlayStation 2 to go out and purchase that system for the sole purpose of playing the first two God of War titles. The game looks superb and the action is just as impressive here as it was in the PlayStation 2 games. Virtually... Read more
Fans of the God of War series and action titles alike will find a very satisfying experience in Chains of Olympus. Pulse-pounding action, mind-blowing visuals, and a well-told story more than makes up for a somewhat short game. My appetite for God of War was satiated and my anticipation for the planned God of War 3 has only grown after learning more about Kratos’ troubled past. If you have a PSP, you are simply missing out if you haven’t played this game. Read more
Translating popular PS2 franchises to PSP isn’t exactly new, but God of War: Chains of Olympus has been getting a lot of attention for its potential to finally realize the goal of making a handheld game every bit as good as a modern console entry in the same series. Does it succeed? Not completely, but it comes damn close. Considering that the God of War games were some of the best in the PS2’s massive library, Chains of Olympus is a fantastic game in its own right. Read more

Game is great. i finished this whole game all the way to Maine and i couldn't get off because the game was so addicting. After you finish the whole game at the very end of the credits you'll probably hate what happens as much as i did if you are a real godof war fan. God of War II is so worth 40 bucks. So go to the nearest Circuit City and pick it up. Trust Me. I know Read more
Well if you own a psp you will be forgiven for thinking this is the greastest game ever to be released for the hamdheld. In truth, its too short and very very linear. There are so few real choices you have to make, you rarely have even a single side room you can choose to look in. To look at the graphics are great, i can deny that, and they run pretty smoothly as well. But dont get fooled into thinking this game is the greatest ever, the biggest problem is while it is... Excellent adaptation of the series for the PSP. Controls aren't limited in any way, and the graphics are definitely amongst the best to be found on the system. Probably not as complex as God of War 2, although the new extra weapons and magic abilities are interesting. Only downside is the short length of the game, around 8-10hrs, definitely worth renting though. Read more
