Summary: This is not a GTA wanna be, so don't compare this game to GTA Liberty City Stories/Vice City Stories -- they're different games. I have GTA Vice City Stories and Gangs of London and I prefer Gangs of London -- it's just more fun, but that's just me. There are similarities, but they're still different games. In GTA, you control one person. In Gangs of London, you control about 3 or 4 other people (your gang) on missions, but sometimes you're alone.
Summary: A fun game very similar to the Grand Theft Auto series. It includes lots of options and mini-games to make it playable many times over. It has a comic book feel and for the PSP the graphics are decent. However, I found the controls to be a little arkward. Load times are minimal and the animation is smooth. For under $10, well worth it.
Summary: Gangs of London is a great game, and i believe everyone with a psp should have this game because of the fact that it's 10 dollars for used. But one of my favorite parts about this game is that you choose the gang you want to be in. It's not like grand theft auto where you have to follow the same storyline. The missions are ok. It has levels where you escape in a car, or you sneak around in an enemy gang's crib, or you can just start killing people.
Summary: The best part of the game is the story line. To add, the introduction before every mission is very captivating. This alone keeps you wanting to beat every mission and go on to another one. I however expected more blood and actually thought heads would fall off or at least be able to have head shots and see the blood spray out. However, all in all, its a good game.
Summary: I have played The Getaway and enjoyed that. I also am enjoying this. Granted it's not GTA but it definitely has its own thing going on. Apart from the main game which is basically the Getaway again, what gives this a fourth star are all the mini-games. There's a decent pool, darts, skittles, and the Gang Wars game which provides a nice break from all the running around. Then there's all the free-roam modes, which again provide add variety.
Excerpt: "...their are 5 different gangs. Gangs Of London. I have this game on PSP. It is about the gangs of London obviously. People normally enjoy these type of games in which you can manouevre however, the inability to shoot round corners and slow movement takes the fun out of things in my opinion. It seems to borrow alot from GTA i believe and is a weak attempt that is saved by the awesome free roaming mechanism. However, the strategy involved is kind of ...
Pros: Free roaming
Cons: Inability to see round corners, poor aiming .
Conclusion: Really enjoyed this game.. Great graphics, gameplay, action ect.. But just lacked the edge to be fantastic.. The extra features are fantastic like the pub games, gang battle ect.. Overall DEFINATLEY worth getting..
Conclusion: Very good game. The driving and shooting are somewhat old ideas (without GTA this game would never have been thought up) but it is still very good. The mapping of Central London is uncannily acurate and the story, although unintentionally funny in parts, keeps things together. The sub-games are great and extend the shelf-life. Think GTA done London style.
