Summary: I have long been a massive fan of Formula One and have loved the official games released on the PS2, PS3 and got this for the PSP with high hopes that this may allow me to play Formula One as I sat on my train on the way to work. The game has the official teams and tracks which is a minimum I would have expected from any official F1 game but the game is a well developed game with great graphics and brilliant sound effects but it was when I began to take part in a race...
Pros: Good graphics, excellent sound effects, brilliant gameplay, fantastic control system
Cons: Takes a little getting used to but stick with it for a fantastic game
Summary: I picked up this game awhile ago as I am a massive Formula 1 fan, and I have to say the game is very good but I didn't like it as much as the PS3 game. It is still good with some great features. However, the game feels like it is lacking in something. The game isn't very indepth and is more of a casual F1 game. The graphics are very good and some of the best I have ever seen on the PSP system. The game experiences no slowdown and the game runs fantastically smooth.
Summary: I bought my psp and formula 1 06 at the same time and like most people, think that formula 1 97 on the good old ps1 was the best game of this genre by far, especially for pure speed and realism. I cant really understand why people compare ps2 versions to psp version as its obvious of the limits of the psp compared to a major console so you have to go with the hardware you have and the game formats for it.
Summary: I thought F1 Grand Prix was brilliant but this is 10 times better. I was instantly hooked and the game is sooo much fun. It includes all the F1 drivers, teams and tracks. Sony have done an excellent job and the new qualifying system is fantastic, you really feel the pressure to get through the knock-out system. Another thing is the graphics are so realistic and the game is easy to pick up and play.
Summary: If you are into F1 (which I am) then this game is a must. Despite being on a handheld, all the tracks all the features and ascects of F1 are in the game. Car set-up (to suit all different levels), pit stops, commentary and all the different rules. I have not really found anything from the sport that is not there. The career mode is also great as you start of earning a test drive and then progress into getting a race drive and so on.
