Summary: The final effort from Sony proved much better than anything Codemasters have produced so far, even if it is worse than F1 2000. The delivery of this was faster than an actual race aswell, so...not all bad...
Conclusion: Dont know what one reviewer meant by sensitive steering ! Dont use the overview of the car to race use the cockpit as is the best on all car games and gives u better control, this is totally absorbing , realistic, and a must have game, i can understand why its going for above the retail price cos its worth £50!"!"...
Conclusion: This is a must buy game, it is fun, realistic, challenging, good gaps from level of difficulty and you don't get bored of it. There is also numerous chances to gain promotions and drive for better teams and gradually build up your credentials and careers.
Conclusion: I purchased this just after i got my psp last year, the graphics are good and i was impressed. However i found the game play to be poor, the steering was far too sensitive. I havent found a good f1 game since the original on the ps1. If you can get this game cheap enough it might be worth it.
Conclusion: this is much better than f1 grand prix in every way. Overtaking is realistice and the oposition dont try and run into you like in f1 gp. Much better engine noise and very realistic. Not the same old sound like GP. this game is well worth abit extra money and much more exciting to play.
Summary: I bought my psp and formula 1 06 at the same time and like most people, think that formula 1 97 on the good old ps1 was the best game of this genre by far, especially for pure speed and realism. I cant really understand why people compare ps2 versions to psp version as its obvious of the limits of the psp compared to a major console so you have to go with the hardware you have and the game formats for it.
Summary: This is one of those games you really have to stick with it to get the most out of the game. This certainly isn't Burnout or Cars which are pick up and play. With this game it really is a question of practice makes perfect. One mistake ( as in real F1 ) and that's it. When I first played it I found the game very frustrating, but it is also strangely addictive.
Summary: I have played this game but have gave up after 36hrs of play. (it gives you a play time clock) after playing a season on career mode at full race distance the game would reset it's self and not let me continue. it also seems to freeze when the weather conditions change.
