Excerpt: Football Manager on the go, this is the thing I dreamed of for years and now it is a reality. Granted I am a couple of years behind the times but this version was my first experience of the portable Football Manager experience. When this game first caught my attention I shunned it as I did not see the point in buying a version of a game I was not overly impressed with on the PC.
Pros: The greatest management sim of all time on the go .
Excerpt: Well football manager hanheld is one of the many serie of football manager but for those who dont really kow much about this stimulation game here is a bit of info, FMH 09 is the lastest of the a Football Manager games, FMH allows you to show off your stuff to prove if you are the best and shows if you can make one off the smallest clubs to show not to be taken so likely or show why the bigger clubs are mean't to be feared by all.
Pros: great for building smalls team to the greatest
Conclusion: This is basically a diluted version of the PC title Football Manager 2009. The aim of the game is quite simple; guide your chosen team (from Ebbsfleet of the Blue Square to Chievo of Serie A) to glory, buying and selling players, tinkering with tactics, and pleasing the board. The menu's are nice and clear, there is a decent database of teams and players and the navigation of the menus is quite good.
Excerpt: FOOTBALL MANAGER 2009 (PSP) A long time ago (1992 to be precise) in a bedroom far, far away, sat a geeky football loving goof who, when not outdoors kicking a football about (surprisingly for a geek he was also frigging awesome at football), they were sat on their Amiga 600 being wowed by either the greatest football game ever made - Sensible Soccer - or the beginnings of an otherwise humble football management simulator.
Pros: Depth and challenge remain, but so much simpler for the time conscious !
Cons: Well, some people just don't like football - fools !
Summary: I think the first point to make is that this is for the PSP, so if you are looking for a very in-depth management game, or this is what you are used to on a PC, maybe it is not for you. For example you cannot alter the stadium, make decisions about the advertisements that appear on your teams shirts, and the action is reminiscent of Championship manager games of old as writing quickly flashes across the screen (with some 2D representation here and there).
Excerpt: I love this game!! While i'm at home i always plat the pc version as there are more players, bigger databases and more comfortable to play with. But you can't play your pc on a bus or tram which makes this game great! I have found in previous football manager games the font size are quiet small and did make it difficult to see the small numbers but not on this game. I have no problems looking at player ratings, fitness condition, attributes etc....
Pros: If you like football manager games you're love it !
Cons: DOesn't would as much data as teh pc version .
Summary: I was expecting more. Dont get me wrong, its a great game - very addictive and perfect for the commute to work, but there is very little difference between this version and the previous version. I was expecting much more interaction between managers and players, I was expecting a half time team talk, I thought the conflicting information your assistant manager gave you would be fixed. I could go on. It seems like only the skins and personel were updated.
