Summary: Square-Enix's Final Fantasy IV is bound to set a Guinness World Record for "Most Ports and/or Remakes." There's the original Super Famicom version released in Japan in 1991. There's the Easytype version also released for the Super Famicom in Japan. There's the original North American release as Final Fantasy II, combining elements from the Japanese normal and easy types. There's the PlayStation port released as part of Final Fantasy Chronicles in North America.
It may be "Complete" but it's not the "Definitive" edition.

Summary: This game drives me crazy because of all of its different releases, and I've played almost all of them. I had the "original" on the SNES, and was amazed. It was definitely great for its time and set a positive trend (mostly) for Final Fantasy up until 7. For those of us old enough to remember, we later received the revelation that a majority of the content of this game was cut, censored, or otherwise totally altered from its origin.
Summary: Great classic turn-based RPG. Good story today, and for its time amazing. Graphics are a little on the low side, but that's to be expected with a game that is basically a direct port from its original. But still, worth it for any RPG fan who has yet to play it one system or another.
Summary: Previous Final Fantasy IV games and ports were well made and very enjoyable to play, but as far the story goes this is the definitive Final Fantasy IV. They don't call it "Final Fantasy IV The Complete Collection" for nothing, it really is the complete collection of the Final Fantasy IV compilation. Expect to play 40+ hours on this awesome game, but if you want to really get into it you'll end up with more than 60 hours playing this great game.
Summary: I first played this game on the Super NES when I was in high school. I stayed up for almost two straight days and beat the game. Still one of my favs even after all these years, and now this collection has two games in one, what a bargain.
Summary: Very good remake of the original FF 4. It is just like the ps version with updated graphics, and also comes with an extra "After Years" campaign that was originally only released in Japan. Must have for fans of the old one, and good for fans of the final fantasy series but might not be for everybody. I enjoyed it and it is a great update of a classic. Sony knows how to remake the FFs way better than nintendo that is for sure.
