Summary: Previous Final Fantasy IV games and ports were well made and very enjoyable to play, but as far the story goes this is the definitive Final Fantasy IV. They don't call it "Final Fantasy IV The Complete Collection" for nothing, it really is the complete collection of the Final Fantasy IV compilation. Expect to play 40+ hours on this awesome game, but if you want to really get into it you'll end up with more than 60 hours playing this great game.
One heck of a game for one heck of a deal, even if it's been released several times!

Summary: Without a doubt, Final Fantasy IV probably has the most releases of the game out of all the Final Fantasy series, closest would be how much the first game was released. A lot of people who already have the DS version would probably pass this up, but it also includes "The After Years" which is the Wii's $37 sequel to FFIV, and you even get a little interlude that explains the scenes in between the two. If you don't have the DS version, pick this one up. I'll tell you why.
Summary: A fantastic old school rpg with a interesting story and likable characters. Gameplay is great for the most part except when your character is status ailed and he keeps missing. Music is very catchy and sounds great when listening with headphones. The battle music can get annoying after awhile though. Overall a fantastic game with very few faults and it packs a ton of content.
Summary: There's a feeling that Final Fantasy IV: The Complete Collection is a waste of time. In part because Final Fantasy IV has already so many releases it's not even funny. The game has already been released on the Super Nintendo, original Playstation, Gameboy Advance and has a full blown remake on the Nintendo DS. This is also not including the reissue on the Wii's virtual console. By now, who hasn't experienced Final Fantasy IV that wants to?
Classic with a fresh coat of paint, extra content, and yet...

Summary: I've beaten the original version on Super Nintendo many, many times. So I was looking forward to what this remake would offer. Overall, I am pleased with this game that gives a fresh coat of paint to a classic and offers more gameplay. Many of my gripes are only noticiable if you are fairly familiar with the original. New players won't know the differences so they aren't prehaps that critical. However, I will spell them out here.
Summary: I first played this game on the Super NES when I was in high school. I stayed up for almost two straight days and beat the game. Still one of my favs even after all these years, and now this collection has two games in one, what a bargain.
Summary: Very good remake of the original FF 4. It is just like the ps version with updated graphics, and also comes with an extra "After Years" campaign that was originally only released in Japan. Must have for fans of the old one, and good for fans of the final fantasy series but might not be for everybody. I enjoyed it and it is a great update of a classic. Sony knows how to remake the FFs way better than nintendo that is for sure.
Summary: This is coming from the perspective of a long-time fan of FFIV. This has been my favorite game of all time since I first played it, I think in 1993. I've played all the remakes. I'm not going to be too long-winded here, most people playing this game and reading the review have probably played it before in earlier incarnations. This is a good remake, but for me, not perfect.
