Summary: I'm comparing it to the original SNES version, which I still have. Maybe that's my error, but as a port, one would think they'd stay true to the source material, right? Well, sort of. First off, this is an excellent game. What we knew as Final Fantasy II was a landmark title at the time, and arguably for the ages. What disappoints me in this remake, with the graphical style of the iOS for 1 and 2 (which is visually amazing), is how terribly simple it is.
Summary: Get the torches out, of course. I make the assumption that anyone reading this has played the WiiWare version. Probably a faulty assumption. But I make it anyway. Thus I will be brief. Everyone knows Final Fantasy IV (known as Final Fantasy II on SNES), and its cast of characters. This collection contains that game with minor modifications as well as the interlude and the After Years.
Summary: So there are a million and one reasons to love this game, and considering I own every single edition of Final Fantasy IV, from the original Super Famicom release to the PSP Complete Collection, I REALLY do love this game. I really only have two gripes but they are pretty big ones IMO. That being said, my gripes with this release are as follows 1.The monsters are WAY TO EASY.
