Much better than 07, but still not flawless

gee "beachboy", Amazon
29 January 2009
  • Summary: The control of players has been greatly improved compared to 07, but sometimes it's still too stiff, not very real. Overall, I would recommend this game, but maybe not at $40 a piece, i think it should be cheaper.

Go for Goal

Dennis Wilson "blacktiger50", Amazon
29 January 2009
  • Summary: This game is a must have for the soccer fan on the go. The user interface is easy to navigate, and the game itself is a lot of fun. Take control of your favorite time and become their manager. Do have what it takes to guide them to the cup? Manage them from the ground up, make trades, lend them out to other clubs, and build a powerhouse to last years. If you don't have this game, then you are no soccer fan.

great game

KL, Amazon
29 January 2009
  • Summary: i would definitely suggest this game if you are a fan of soccer. the only negative i would bring up is the fact that there is a feature that will automatically switch to a player that is closer to the opposing teams player with the ball. its a great idea but it can be annoying when you are moving one way with a player towards the guy with the ball and suddenly it changes to someone else and your going the wrong way because it switched. luckily it can be turned off.

Portable FIFA at its Finest

Paul Stuart ""...also I'll brush my teeth..., Amazon
29 January 2009
  • Summary: At a risk of stating the obvious, the FIFA series has certainly had its fair share of ups and downs over the years. While always beautiful on the eyes and ears, the FIFA line likewise featured a fair slew of scoring cheats, long load times and management flaws. No wonder the 'FIFA vs. PES' debate continues to live on. In FIFA 08, however, EA finally hit paydirt. The game's rock solid artificial intelligence plus physics-based control scheme - at last!
