In the game, being developed as a third person action/adventure, players will take on the role of multiple characters such as the diabolical Stewie, the charismatic Brian (the Dog), and Peter, the loveable but hapless patriarch, as they interact with the citizens of Quahog. It is designed with full mission single-player, mini-games, story mode and has a Gamepad controls.
The Family Guy is the latest arcade game from Take2 Interactive that features the wonderfully dysfunctional Griffins family in their most exciting adventure to date combined with random funny things (outrageous interactive humour), unique, and pick-up-and-play combination of combat, stealth and puzzle-solving game-play plus satirizing pop-culture as though you were part of the show. The game provides player to play through three stories that intersect in typical Family Guy fashion. Choose to be the diabolical Stewie and match wits against his brother and arch-nemesis Bertram as they vie to take over the world. Take control of loveable Peter and fight to stop Mr. Belvedere who he thinks is trying to take over the world. Slip on a collar as the charismatic Brian attempting to escape from prison and prove your innocence in a puppy parental case. The game is voiced and scripted by members of the real Family Guy TV show creative team, features all the voices of their cartoon counterparts and also equipped with game-play that switches back and forth between three popular characters from the show. The PSP version of the Family Guy features traditional arcade style of game-play where the player must jump, run and fight their way through the Family Guy universe in order to solve clues, puzzles and missions in some comedic moments. Graphically, the Family Guy is a visual treat on the PSP that looks almost identical to the television show with locales and characters virtually identical. The colour palette of the game is quite vivid, bright and has a variety of special effects. It is also fitted with 512 kb of memory, supports memory card function, rated as Mature by ESRB (Entertainment Software Rating Board) with detail descriptions of mature humour, partial nudity and violence. The Family Guy developer is High Voltage Software Incorporated and it was released in the month of October, 2006 plus it falls under the genre category of Action Adventure. It has a product dimensions of 6.9inch-by-4.1inch-by-0.6inch (17.5cm-by-10.4cm-by-1.5cm) and weights in at 4.3 ounces (121.9grams).

For anyone who is unfamiliar with it, the Family Guy is an offbeat comedy series that is part of the hilarious trinity of popular comedic cartoons. The other two series being the long-running Simpsons and the potty-mouthed South Park. Both of these cartoons have spawned several video games ranging from unplayable piles of game feces to mediocre at best. As a fan of all three cartoons, I was excited and yet fairly concerned when I heard that the Family Guy was being made... Read more
It’s disappointing to see such a popular license be used in such a generic game. There’s nothing here that makes the game worth owning, with the voice work sadly being the game’s most impressive feature. This game offers nothing new or innovative and worst of all, it’s just not very fun to play and in the end, it really is just another crummy licensed game in a sea of crummy licensed games. Read more
But as long as you go into Family Guy not expecting gameplay excellence, you'll be fine -- there's so much else here that easily makes up for the blemishes. For hardcore fans of the show, especially at the $30 price, it's still pretty freakin' sweet. Read more

Family Guy the game takes some quality script writing and cast audio performances and mixes them with generic beat-em-up, stealth and platforming game play. The fact that the end result isn't a complete disaster speaks volumes to the quality of the writers and cast. The beat-em-up sections feature button-mashing combat, loads of dumb enemies and little to no health (and end up being fairly frustrating as a result). The stealth sequences feature your standard trial and... Read more
