Conclusion: I got my PSP the day it came out in the UK, I got this game on the same day. Its the one of the few games I still play. When I first thought of getting it with my PSP package I was a bit iffy and felt like I should wait until a better game came out as I thought this looked childish but, as a big golf fan I decided that i had to get it as I couldnt wait and I do not regret that decision.
Conclusion: Definately worth renting/buying This game is on par (excuse pun) if not better than Tiger woods. Initial attraction is the cute look and feel of the games. Graphics are pretty amazing. Longevity is there as well as you may only progress to newer courses and characters the long and better you play..
Excerpt: "Whilst never likely to attract the same kind of attention as the Gran Turismo’s and God of War’s of this world, Everybody’s Golf remains one of Sony’s most enduring franchises. A series synonymous with its inviting, sunny veneer, EG mixes cute stylings with fiendishly addictive, accessible-with-hidden-depths gameplay that developers Clap Hanz have had nailed since back in the days of the original PlayStation. …And the golf series’ first outing ...
Pros: Super - addictive, technically proficient, lots of longevity, don't have to like golf to enjoy it
Cons: Putting may frustrate some, infrastructure online would have been nice
Summary: I'll be honest I am not a golf fan, hitting a little ball into a hole leaves me cold, but I got this on the strength of the reviews... as it sounded fun.. and.. well, it still leaves me cold. It's still really dull. I think if you're not really a fan of golf this game isn't gonna change that. If you like golf games you may well love this game to bits. Not me. So, it's not quite 'Everybody's' golf.
Excerpt: "This is one of my favourite games on the PSP. Its has loads of levels and different difficulties, so it is suitable for everyone. When i first bought the game i was very sceptical about how it would be but i was soon made to realsie what a great game it actually is. It has provided me with hours of fun and I just cant get bored of it. There are two players games which are great just to play with your mates at home. I would definately recommend this ...
Excerpt: "I had played Tiger Wood golf on the xbox and PS2 and loved it therefore I was a little bit worried that this game would be too childish and aimed at younger people just getting into computer games, however I loved it. It does not offer the same graphics and reality as Tiger Woods but the fun factor is still there. --Gameplay-- The game starts off with most of the characters and courses locked as you play the game more you will start to unlock ...
Summary: This is honestly one of the best "video" games I've ever played. It ranks alongside "Sonic" on the Sega circa 15yrs ago, and Jak and Daxter on the PS2 circa 5yrs ago. The beauty is, the controls are easy to get the hang of. The graphics are clear. Drawback - so addictive!!!!!
Conclusion: Bought this for £11 on Boxing Day, having owned all the PS1 and PS2 versions. It's just great, so easy to pick up for anyone without knowledge of the other games in the series, graphics are great and so is the gameplay itself.
