Dynasty Warriors Vol. 2

Auracore MediaWorks
24 November 2006
  • Summary: Despite technical concessions made in the transition to a handheld, Dynasty Warriors Vol. 2's brand of addictive hack and slash action is as fun as ever, and renewed somewhat on the PSP.
  • Pros: Addictive hack and slash action is fully intact on PSP; graphics look great, especially Musou charge effects; expanded features allowing players to add officers and mounts.
  • Cons: Soldiers pop in and out of view depending on the pace of the action; using subtitled tableaus to flesh out the story seems really antiquated; ability to expand your army seems to have little effect on gameplay.

Dynasty Warriors Vol. 2

DarkStation

  • Conclusion: Once again although there have been some great improvements to this game, it is unfortunate to once again get an experience that still needs work to make it to be a worthwhile purchase. Although fans of the series have probably already gone out and purchased the game, for those who haven’t always loved the series, Dynasty Warriors Vol. 2 isn’t going to help change your mind.

Dynasty Warriors Vol. 2 Review

GameSpot
20 October 2006
  • Excerpt: Alongside the launch of the PSP early last year came the debut of Koei's venerable hack-and-slash franchise in Dynasty Warriors. As a stripped-down, bite-sized version of the typical battles found in one of the console games, Dynasty Warriors was serviceable but not exactly impressive. Though Koei has since released a Samurai Warriors game that tweaked a couple of the problems found in that first title, Dynasty Warriors Vol. 2 is the first proper DW sequel for the PSP.
  • Pros: More modes than the first Dynasty Warriors PSP game, turn-based musou mode is a decent handheld substitute to the console version's battles
  • Cons: Action becomes tiresome after a short time because of a lack of depth or strategy, multiplayer games aren't really that much fun, bland graphics and audio

[Mini-Review] Dynasty Warriors Vol. 2

TotalPlayStation.com
9 October 2006
  • Conclusion: This is not the Dynasty Warriors that you've played on consoles. It's better than the first PSP game, no doubt, but it still has a long way to go before it feels at home on Sony's little wonderportable.

Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Conviction

GamingMedia.de
18 April 2010
  • Conclusion: Fans der ersten Splinter Cell -Teile werden ihren Sam Fisher in Conviction kaum wiedererkennen.

Dynasty Warriors Vol. 2 (PSP)

Gamesurf
18 January 2007
