Repeat

RG69, Amazon
9 December 2008
  • Summary: I purchased this game based on the decent looking graphics on the back of the box and the fact that I like hack and slash games. This is a typical dungeon crawler game. You fight monster, find loot, level up, buy better stuff and repeat. The problem with the game is the repetition.

Classic dungeon crawler

Amazon
5 October 2008
  • Summary: Not a bad game, but nothing new here. You are sent on various quests which basically come down to hack-and-slash throughout dungeons. The main objective in these areas is to destroy a set number of"monster generators" so that you may move to the next dungeon level.

Good Game

Mark A. Vance, Amazon
5 August 2008
  • Summary: Although the game starts off very slow, it turns out to be a decent game. Throughout the story, you will have to visit the same dungeons over and over, but as the game progresses, you will have the chance to visit new and harder ones, making the game a little less monotone.

Not nearly as fun as others of its kind

WanderingStorm, Amazon
22 July 2008
  • Summary: Having just bought a PSP, I looked for games that were like those I had played on PC. Having played dungeon games before, I latched onto this one right away. I was sorely disappointed. I felt the graphics were rather low-key and the story was boring.

Great Fun and Balanced Gameplay

Amazon Customer "jjr", Amazon
20 April 2008
  • Summary: Anyone wanting to know how good game design is done should look at Dungeon Explorer. The game is balanced perfectly to keep you progressing through. There are no points in this game where you are not making progress. But that is not to say you are not punished for your deaths.

Solid.

genericstudent, Amazon
3 September 2014
  • Summary: So....the reason I've given this game 5 stars is because it really does not deserve all the negative reviews gaming publications have given it. That and also because its an addictive, well made game that has a simple yet enthralling premise. In my opinion it is an unpolished gem of a game.

Great hack and slasher

G. Heywood, Amazon
12 March 2010
  • Summary: Dungeon Explorer has been variously described as a "dungeon explorer" "action RPG", "Western RPG", and probably lots of things that shouldn't be read before the watershed. Basically, you take a character levelling engine, add in a variety of environments (dungeons largely), with a standard story and...
