Summary: This is a good game with solid mechanics and some fairly comical writing that is certainly enjoyable. The main story takes a long while to get through and all of the extra content will take hundreds and hundreds of hours to complete.
Summary: The Disgaea are fun SRPGs that do not take themselves too seriously. They add in lots of humor and are sort of a parody of RPGs at times. If you want a more serious RPG look elsewhere, but this is a fun game.
Summary: I picked this game up about 4 weeks ago mainly for the story because i watched the anime. the story so far follows the anime but the gameplay is also pretty nice if you are into final fantasy tactics. it can be addictive at times, which in my case the first day i spent ~ 12 hours straight playing it, also for people who never heard of Disgea the story is hilarious and its pretty good.
Summary: Disgaea has a humor that caught me off guard and that personally I find a bit refreshing. Game play is turn based strategy and is very well done. Perhaps it is my lack of skill in this game style, but I have found that a fair amount of level/skill grinding is essential, which leads to relatively decent time gaps between story sequences. Overall a great story, great humor, good game play, decently challenging, and did I mention long? I'd recommend this game to everybody.
Summary: This game allows you to fiddle with your characters endlessly. You can spend hours and hours improving their skills, their stats, their levels, their abilities, their equipment, etc. The universe is surreal and humorous enough to be a nice bridge between the battles you fight, but it doesn't get in the way of the game play.

Summary: A fairly direct port of the popular PS2 game "Disgaea: Hour of Darkness", "Disgaea: Afternoon of Darkness" mostly keeps things the same, though a few new features are added. The game should be familiar to anyone who has played the original Disgaea, but as a refresher for those who haven't: Disgaea is a turn-based tactical role playing game. Using a grid system, characters move, attack, and use special abilities.
Summary: I was hesitant to pick this game up, as I'd read so many reviews that highlighted its comedic aspects over its gameplay, but I am happy to say that I do not regret my purchase. The comedy is there and is sometimes actually amusing, but the gameplay takes center stage as far as I'm concerned. I'm a huge fan of turn-based strategy (along the lines of Final Fantasy Tactics and Jeanne D'Arc), and this happily fits comfortably into that category.
Excerpt: "...Playstation consoles. The first game, Disgaea: Hour of Darkness, was released on the Playstation 2 in 2003 and was subsequently remade for the handheld, Sony PSP with the new title, Disgaea: Afternoon of Darkness in 2007, allowing players to carry the world of Disgaea in their hands. The reason I picked up this game was due to the release of Disgaea 3 on the PS Vita, which had a distinctive anime style, also present in this earlier title, which appealed ...
Pros: Great anime - style graphics, Lengthy gameplay with bonus levels too
