What once was big is now small, and just as big.

  • Conclusion: Ahhh, Disgaea . Before I started writing for GR, I had bought and was working my way through the first incarnation of Disgaea for the PSP . So being able to do a write-up for this one is a beautiful, beautiful thing... which has kept me from getting enough sleep for days.
  • Pros: Custom parties and creatable characters, Item World is even more addicting, Dialog is fluid and funny, Still a Playstation beauty champ
  • Cons: Nothing terribly new or innovative

Gamer vision
21 September 2009
  • Excerpt: When a copy of Disgaea 2: Dark Hero Days landed on my desk, I was excited to dive into the world that I spent so many hours with a few years earlier. The previous title was one of my first experiences with a tactical RPG, and had to be one of the most charming games on the PlayStation 2.

Disgaea 2: Dark Hero Days Review

G4
8 September 2009
  • Summary: Disgaea 2: Dark Hero Days is, the in most literal sense, a portable version of Disgaea 2: Cursed Memories, the 2006 PS2 cult hit. As we've discovered many times over the last couple of years, simply chopping the top and bottom off a console game's graphics -- or grabbing at both ends and stretching...
  • Pros: Looks great on a small screen, Paced for short, quick game sessions, Layer after layer of depth
  • Cons: Way more to learn than most players ever will, English script could have been better
