Summary: I bought Death Jr. soley for the fact that it was made by Backbone Entertainment(previously Digital Eclipse, who made the GBA Spyro games). Thinking the game was something along the lines of Ratchet and Clank, I was more surprised it was a weird hybrid along the lines of Psychonauts & Tim Burton's The Nightmare before Christmas. No worries, though, because the game turned out to be pretty awesome to me, albeit a little on the short side.
Lots of fun even though it could have been more polished

Summary: I found this game to be really fun. I beat it 3 times and would not mind having another go. In the game you are the son of Death himself and you must stop the evil Moloch after it gets "accidentally" released from a treasure chest. You have a scythe that you can use for melee combat and platforming action as well as various guns. Remember, don't approach this game as a platformer but more as a third person shooter with some platforming elements.
Summary: The first thing to know about this game is that this is just not only a good PSP game but one of the best portable platformer/shooter ever made! The basic story of the game is about Death Jr. (a.ka. DJ to his friends) the son of the Grime Reaper. While on a field trip with his friends DJ accidentally releases Moloch the evil necromancer who unleases his hoards of demons and on top of it caputered the souls of DJs friends. Now DJ must stop Moloch before his father finds out...
Summary: Although I usually am let down with the initial quality of PSP titles, Death Jr was worth the wait. The controls are simple, and while there isn't technically a story line, who cares? It's a video game, not an episode of Entourage. Levels are clear and the saving features let you answer the phone or shoot an email and then quickly resume playing. And has anyone mentioned the awesome transtion between levels/sections?
Summary: Death Junior turned out to be more than any reviewer suggested- a decent game with a story, and on the PSP. A platformer very akin to "Ratchet and Clank," with great action and cool weapons, this is a must-own for any PSP owner sick of racing games. The controls for DJ work suprisingly well, with decent graphics and creative enviroments, including several made entirely of meat. If you like Tim Burton's films, you'll love the atmosphere in this game. A wonderful title.
Summary: i like this game, i do, buuuut its sort of frantic, and this makes it hard to get to grips with because the psps screen is quite small and not built for this much activity, but ive not got to the end so i might be wrong up to now, but i do love the way you switch between gun and scithe really quickly, so if you run out of bullets just whip out your scithe and chop away.
Conclusion: I LOVED this game! It was fun and funny and everything you need for a long journey or lazy afternoon! I took it with me on holiday and was entertained all week! The game play is a bit difficult because the camera takes getting used to but after you get used to it it is pure fun!
Summary: hey i got this game 2 days ago (an import from america) its a great game, graphicly it looks smooth the gameplay is fun. Theres a good arsenal of weapons. The only thing that lets it down is the length. You can proberly get through the game in about 8-10 hours. But then again it is really good fun so you can go back through the game and play again. It is proberly the first good 3rd person platformer. It is a must buy fro any psp owner!!!
