Dead to Rights: Reckoning

Portable Review
22 October 2005
  • Excerpt: If you take the cars out of Grand Theft Auto, add a dog, and take half of the fun out of the game, then you’ve got Dead to Rights: Reckoning for the PSP. Violence doesn’t bother me at all, but when violence is taken more into account than the fun… you’ve got a problem. Killing potential killers is usually a fun task in almost any game. By pressing “R” you lock on to an enemy and then you can commence fire.

  • Excerpt: The PSP hasn’t had any action games until just recently. If you take a look at the original launch titles, many of them were good, but Spiderman and Untold Legends were just about the only games that had any bit of violence in them. Don’t get me wrong, I think the PSP had a very nice launch, especially for a system produced by Sony, but the lack of a decent action game was definitely its “Achilles Heel.

  • Excerpt: After all, the lead character is a gun-toting vigilante cop, he can sic his K-9 partner on the bad guys, and one of his many skills is the ability to disarm enemies and finish them off with their own guns. That sure sounds like my idea of a fun time.

  • Excerpt: Before Dead to Rights, action games generally gave the player a magnifying glass and plenty of little helpless ants to burn. When Namco released the original Dead to Rights, I remember many situations where I would be pinned down, watching bullets and shrapnel explode around me. It wasn't the same ant-burning situation. The ants were fighting back.

Dead to Rights: Reckoning

Project COE

  • Conclusion: The multiplayer mode is a fun experience but since the overall gameplay is so flawed, very few will even bother playing this with friends. All the main issues mentioned above show their ugly faces in the multiplayer mode. While it’s not as important as in the single player mode, since friends will likely be laughing at each other and just have a blast shooting at each other, it’s still not as fun as it could have been.

Dead to Rights: Reckoning

Fragland
24 June 2012
  • Conclusion: Alles opgesomd is Dead to Rights gewoon je zuuverdiende euro’s niet waard.

Dead to Rights : Reckoning

JeuxVideo.fr
28 June 2006
