Overall, better on other consoles

  • Excerpt: I orginally bought and played Crazy Taxi on the Gamecube a few years back so when it was released on the PSP I thought I'd give it a go. Crazy Taxi and Crazy Taxi 2 are included on a single UMD. Crazy Taxi: Fare Wars is a PSP version that bundles together both the games. This version of the game features a multiplayer mode allowing two people to play against each other rather than against the computer.

Fun but too many niggles

  • Summary: Crazy Taxi: Fair Wars is a game you would think is highly suited to PSP. It's got quick pick up and play gameplay perfectly suited to gaming on the go and PSP has shown itself to be more than adequate for racing games. On the Fare Wars disc you get both Crazy Taxi and Crazy Taxi 2 with the same familiar setup as in the arcades.

How disappointing

  • Summary: Wow this is an awful conversion of a great game. What a shame too as this has some nice features (like being able to listen to your own music whilst playing) and the menus are great. The main problem is controlling the taxi. The taxi occasionally veers off to the right and you never quite feel you are in full control. This is one wasted opportunity...
