Summary: As stated, this is the spiritual successor to the PC wizardry games. As far as I know, it is only available for PSP. The psn download is less expensive. There is no dialogue between individual characters. You are addressed as a group by some npc's. In a way this is lime a single-person MMO, because you can have multiple parties and, for instance, send one party to retrieve the remains or items of another party. The rpg aspect is not deep.
Summary: If you liked the older Wizardy type games, then you will love this one. It can be tedious at times, and you will have party members perminatly die, so a lot of people consider this game harsh. But its a lot of fun, if you like harder games.
Summary: Class of heroes takes a step back from today's modern rpg's such as Final fantasy XII and does a good job of doing so. Instead of full 3-D and a real time battle system it goes back to the time of games such as wizardry, which is completely menu driven. Now let me warn ANYONE who plans to purchase this game, it has an unprecedented level of difficulty that took me several hours of will and patience to survive.
Summary: Good battle, class and fighting systems, so great core mechanics. As many of the more obscure japanese rpgs, a clunky and complicated interface will make sure to scare any casual players or gamers seeking a way into dungeon crawlers. For those, I suggest Etrian Odyssey on the DS.
