Summary: The game was a bit fussy. I either fought weak enemies, or a super strong one. If you enjoy this type of game, and have already played the Persona series, then give it a go, if you can find a cheap used copy. If you have not played Persona, then go get it instead. At times, the dungeons, looked like an old Wolfenstein map. If this game came out 10 years ago, I would highly recommend it, but it was just a bit late. There are much better games out there....
Summary: First of all, I want to say that this is a hardcore old school RPG, if that concept doesn't interest you, you really will end up with no interest in this title at all. You can and will die permanantly in this game and this can be a rather hard game overall. I personally enjoy that kind of challenge and still didn't like the game for other reasons, but this title will offer you nothing if you don't like the old school dungeon crawler type RPGs.
Summary: Really, really tedious dungeon crawler with a very generic localization. The random dungeon entry point mechanic is annoying, and the dungeons are generally bland and uninspired. The attack messages that pop up on screen are still left in Japanese, too, which highlights the lazy job done with bringing the game over here from Japan. This one averaged a well deserved 61/100 on metacritic.
Summary: Decades ago, mysterious labyrinths appeared, changing the world forever, with these mazes ever-changing, connecting towns and villages across the world. Many adventurers delved into these labyrinths, with few returning. Particus is not the first Adventurer Academy in the world, though it ambitions to be the finest. Class of Heroes follows several students as they dare to brave the labyrinths.
Summary: Just save yourself $[...] and have one of your buddies kick you in the nuts over and over and over. There's a lot of game here. It didn't need to be as hard as it is. I'm all for old school. I played (and very much enjoyed) the original Bards Tale games. So this definitely isn't coming from a 12 year old who has no concept of "hard" video games. This is hard just for the sake of being hard.
Summary: Note of warning, this is not a game for casual gamers. Those who are new to the world of RPG's may find the game too frustrating and difficult. This is an extremely difficult game. When a member of your party dies they are permanently removed from the game unless you send a search party to recover the body within a certain amount of time you lose them forever. So all that time you spent leveling up will be wasted if the character dies.
Summary: This game is not for those looking for a fun and easy game. It's rather challenging and I gave up after dying several times. Any one who is really good at strategy would love this game though.
