Great on the PSP - many levels.

Timberwolf, Amazon
29 July 2013
  • Summary: Best benefit from this chess game is that it is enjoyable and replayable primarily because of the many different things you can do with this game not just simply play chess. Also the many different computer apponents one has enables you to play fast and casual and then slow and serious when you have the time to do so.

a gift for my nephew

Chris "the rabbit", Amazon
30 January 2010
  • Summary: Dear internet- I had purchased this game as a Christmas gift for my 12 year old nephew. All he wanted was video games and I was not interested in buying him a gift that wasted his time and creativity. When I found out he was interested in chess a perfect opportunity presented itself in this game. It fit in his criteria of "video game" but also fit my criteria of productive and useful. Now my only fear(hope) is he will beat me. Maybe I should buy the PC version.

FUN ON THE GO

Julio Caicedo "Julio", Amazon
17 November 2009
  • Summary: There is little to be said about this game. It's fun and will give you hours and hours of entertainment. Different skill levels will have you occupied no matter where you are. Now my wife is complaining because she is the designated driver 24/7. I rather be playing chess on my PSP than dealing with a traffic jam. Cheers!!!!

Great game

D. S., Amazon
6 January 2009
  • Summary: I got this for my 8 year old daughter. She is a beginner at chess, and she loves this game. She was able to figure it out all by herself, and has found it very helpful and also fun. I thought I would have to "assign" her playing time for the practice, but she chooses it on her own.

Miguel Espinoza Estrada, Amazon
19 September 2008
  • Summary: Like its other versions chessmaster is known for its personalities and adaptive game styles, in the psp version this is no different so right from the start you know what you're getting. In the psp it does bring something new, the mini games which are supposed to improve your level of play, however the approach I feel is not the right one, I was able to beat all the mini games to their max level within 24 hours and I didnt find the difficulty levels to be enough to...

Well designed and fun game no matter your skill level.

Gregory P. Brown "basslines", Amazon
27 February 2008
  • Summary: This is an extremely well put together game that combines solid and fun learning tools, fun practice modes and a smooth and simple interface which will provide fun for a long time. This is a must have for any chess fanatic if you own a PSP regardless of your skill level. I am a strong USCF "A" player, play everyday and are rated about 1900 or 50 points above the "highest" level offered in the game, the Chessmaster himself, who in the game is rated 1850.
